Teaching Teachers
Today, I taught a 4 hour class in makeup to cosmetology teachers of western North Carolina. They were a fun and interesting
group, and we covered the basics of stage makeup, planning, and some special effects. I made some bruises, burns, scars, and
showed the basics of shadow and highlight. I sure enjoyed working with them and sharing my ideas and skills in makeup.

"Judgement House" Rehearsal
Tonight, I volunteered to help my friend, David Coffey, with a role he was playing in his church's production of Judgement
House. He played a murderer sent to burn in Hell, and I helped with suggestions for both David and the scene. I was happy
to be of service, and hope I made Hell a little better.

Videotaped Acting
I am experimenting with filming student work, then immediately offering suggestions and critique as we watch the monologue
on my computer. My student, Bobbby, seemed to get a clearer idea of his performance and ways to change and strengthen his
work. Interesting way to teach!

Face Painting In Ashe Co.
Last evening I painted Halloween faces, clowns, pumpkins and ghosts for Mountain View Elementary School's Fall Festival
(my wife, Pat, is the music teacher there.) Three hours of non-stop painting (pro bono) all for the school
to raise funds for a field trip. Great fun!
